Been watching vidoes and the news all day. and it is painful to see what has been happening. Racism didn 't get worse. It 's been there for ages, the difference is more and more are being caught on tape, being filmed and released to social media platforms.
I've experienced racism when I was 19, and even recently. It took me by surprise and I didn 't even realise tht person was being racist until it was over and I was away from tht scene. But it got me thinking, I'm priviliged enough have not experience this enough times to get that I was being mistreated just because of the colour of my skin. But it made me ANGRY when I did. Now imagine how it would feel like to be a black, having to experience this all your life? Sadly, George Floyd is just one of the MANY racial injustice that happened to be caught on tape. I saw a video of a black guy who got arrested for eating a sandwich on a subway platform, a black student get arrested for biking in the wrong lane, another black student who was minding his own business with his earphones plugged in while he was doing his job picking up trash near his dorm getting suspected and accused of having "weapons" (his bucket and a trash picking stick) and being surrounded by 6cops attempting to arrest him . It 's ridiculous and infuriating. #backlivesmatter
At the end of the day we are all HUMANS. CHILDREN OF GOD. Lets learn to love one another and stop fighting. Our enemy right now is COVID19, NOT the difference in the colour of our skin.
